The TOPF is back! And it’s time to celebrate its tenth anniversary. Technically, the band has been around earlier but it was the release of their EP “Abhängen” in 1996 that lay the foundation for the band as we know it today. “Abhängen” has long since become a sought-after collector’s item. And since the mid-nineties, Blumentopf has treated us to lots of amazing new records.
The Topf has never been a purely commercially orientated project. Blumentopf neither chases trends nor tries to act according to a certain image.
Blumentopf is fresh and uplifting and free from any clichés, multi-faceted and open-minded. Blumentopf is the keeper of the good vibe in German hip hop.
The Southern Germany based hip hop crew rocks on stage and on every record. It goes without saying that the band is a hundred per cent committed to what it does.
The Football World Cup year 2006 sees Blumentopf back on stage. The band’s fifth album comes out and the guys are thrilled to play live again.
Our favourite freestyle fanatics and best-loved storyteller kings are back and as usual they’re joined by an excellent DJ. They’ve got brand new songs on the playlist and a new live band supporting them on tour and they’re determined to rock every single one of their fans. Watch out for the new shit and old favourites.
Blumentopf is German hip hop at its best. This band has lots of skills and styles and never fails to impress. Word!
